Who is Aisling Cooney?
Aisling Margaret Cooney is a female Irish swimmer, who specialized in backstroke events. She represented Ireland at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, and competed in the women's 100 m backstroke. Cooney swam in the fourth heat, where she finished in seventh place and thirty-first overall, with a time of 1:02.50.
Cooney also set two national records for the 50 m and 100 m breaststroke events at the 2008 Irish National Championships in Dublin, and another for the medley relay team at the 2009 FINA World Championships in Rome, Italy.
