Who is Ashok Parnami?
Ashok Parnami is a MLA of Rajasthan from Jaipur city in India. He is a leader of Bharatiya Janata Party. He has served as mayor of Jaipur.
In 2006, Parnami was involved in the Deendayal Upadhyaya Trust land scam. While he was mayor of Jaipur, a large plot of prime land was allotted at extremely concessional rates to a trust which was yet to be registered. Normally such concessional grants require that the body have done good work for at least three years.
