Yasunori Mononobe
Who is Yasunori Mononobe?
Yasunori Mononobe is a Japanese swimmer, who specialized in freestyle events. He won a gold medal, as a member of the Japanese swimming team, in the 800 m freestyle relay at the 2009 Summer Universiade in Belgrade, Serbia.
Mononobe qualified as a member of the Japanese team for the 4×200 m freestyle relay at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, by placing fourth in the same distance from the Olympic trials in Tokyo. Teaming with Hisato Matsumoto, Yoshihiro Okumura, and Sho Uchida, Mononobe swam the third leg with a split of 1:47.72, but the Japanese team settled for seventh place in 7:10.31.
