Who is Charles E. Bell?
Charles E. Bell, often known as C.E. Bell, was an American architect of Council Bluffs, Iowa and of Minneapolis, Minnesota. He worked alone and in partnership with John H. Kent and Menno S. Detweiler.
He also worked as part of C.E. Bell, Tyrie and Chapman.
A number of his works are listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Brown County Courthouse, Beaux Arts, built 1910, 100 S. Jefferson St. Green Bay, WI, NRHP-listed
Cass County Courthouse, Beaux Arts, built 1904-1906, South Ninth Street between Second and Third avenues, Fargo, ND, NRHP-listed.
Delaware County Courthouse, Romanesque Revival, Main St. Manchester, IA, NRHP-listed
Gov. S. H. Elrod House, 301 N. Commercial St. Clark, SD, NRHP-listed
Grant County Courthouse, built in 1915, jct. of Park Ave. and Main St. Milbank, SD, NRHP-listed
One or more works in Harlan Courthouse Square Commercial District, Market, 6th, 7th, and Court Sts., around Courthouse Sq. Harlan, IA, NRHP-listed
