Who is Claire B. Bird?
Claire B. Bird was an American lawyer from Wausau who served four years as a Republican member of the Wisconsin State Senate from the 25th District.
Bird was born on October 27, 1868 in Jefferson, Wisconsin. He graduated from the Wayland Academy in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin before graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Wisconsin Law School. Afterwards, Bird began practicing law in Wausau, Wisconsin. He was appointed city attorney of Wausau in 1897 and served two years; was vice-president of the Wisconsin State Board of Education 1917-18, resigning when elected to the Senate; and served as president of the Wisconsin State Bar Association.
