Who is George Boscawen?
Lieutenant-General George Boscawen was a British Army officer, the fourth son of Hugh Boscawen, 1st Viscount Falmouth.
He was Member of Parliament for Penryn from 1743 to 1761 and for Truro from 1761 to 1774, colonel of the 29th Regiment of Foot from 1752 to 1761 and of the 23rd Regiment of Foot from 1761 to his death, and Lieutenant-Governor of the Scilly Isles from 1750 to his death.
