Who is George Brewster?
George Thomas Brewster was an American sculptor and architectural sculptor, known for his portraits and war memorials.
George Brewster was also a teacher of modeling whose schools were Cooper Union beginning 1900; Art Students League of New York beginning 1886; and Rhode Island School of Design, 1893 and 1894. He studied at the Massachusetts State Normal Art School in Boston, and then spent three years in Paris as a student at the Ecole des Beaux Arts. Among his teachers were Augustin Dumont and Antonin Mercie.
