Who is George Usher?
George Usher was a sports writer for Newsday newspaper on Long Island, New York. Usher was well known in New York City and Long Island from the mid-1960s through the late 1980s. Usher was locally infamous for his coverage of Joe Namath's tenure with the New York Jets as well as all other New York sports teams of his era.
