Gheorghe C. Mihalcea was a Romanian folklorist, PhD in philology with the thesis Poezia colindelor - imagine a vechii culturi românești. He contributed to the national etnography by collecting traditional oral folklore from Dobrogea.
He had several contributions in the scientific journals "Peuce" and "Journal of Ethnography and Folklore".
