Who was Jean-Paul Alaux?
Jean Paul Alaux, called Gentil, was a French landscape painter and lithographer born at Bordeaux. He became director of the School of Design at Bordeaux, and died there. A View of Bordeaux painted by him is in the Museum of that city.
