Who was Jesse Pearson?

Bobby Wayne Pearson, better known as Jesse Pearson, was an American actor, director, and writer.

He is best known for his role as Conrad Birdie from the 1963 film Bye Bye Birdie. In 1964, he appeared in the film Advance to the Rear. He also appeared in TV shows such as The Andy Griffith Show, The Great Adventure and The Beverly Hillbillies. He wrote and directed the movies Pro-Ball Cheerleader and The Legend of Lady Blue. Pearson was also the narrator of Rod McKuen's The Sea LP as recorded by the San Sebastian Strings in 1966.
