Who is Jesús del Muro?
José de Jesús del Muro López is a Mexican football coach and former defender.
During his career he played for CD Atlas, Veracruz, Cruz Azul and Toluca.
In 1958 he became a member of the Mexican national team, and went on to participate in the 1958, 1962, and 1966 World Cups, appearing in seven final tournament matches as well as two qualification matches. His 40th and last international match was in 1968.
Del Muro retired from playing in 1973 and became a coach, managing Toluca, C.F. Pachuca, Jalisco and Cruz Azul, coaching the latter for the last time in 1997. He was also an assistant coach for the Mexican team at the 1978 World Cup, and coach of the Mexican youth team, the U-17 team and the U-20 team.
