Who is Jim Burke?
Jim Burke is an American illustrator who was born in Manchester, New Hampshire. Burke received his BFA from Syracuse University. In addition to his publishing work, he has created many personal paintings, including "Cast Shadows of Florence" which has been accepted into London's Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition, 2008. Burke has lectured at Syracuse University, The Norman Rockwell Museum and the National Baseball Hall of Fame. He formerly instructed painting and illustration at Pratt Institute. He returned to Manchester, New Hampshire in Fall of 2009, at which time he was appointed as Chairperson of the Illustration Department at the New Hampshire Institute of Art.
