Who is John Malloy?
Mr. John A. Malloy is a Partner at BlueRun Ventures focusing on mobile
and IP technology investments from component to network software. He
co-founded the firm in 1998 and is based in Menlo Park office. Mr.
Malloy has successfully invested in a broad spectrum of technologies
and services. Prior to the firm, he served as a Vice President of
Business Development at Nokia Americas from June 1996 to December 1998.
In that capacity, Mr. Malloy oversaw Nokia's mergers and ...
acquisition activity in North America. Prior to Nokia, he served as a
Founder at GO Communications. Additionally, Mr. Malloy was employed in
a variety of capacities at MCI, most recently serving as a Marketing
Director. He has over 18 years experience working in technology and
communications industries. Mr. Malloy currently serves on the Boards of
Slide, Inc., fusionOne, Kilopass, MicroDisplay, Varolii Corporation,
SunRocket, and ProQuent Systems. Previously, he served as a Director at
PayPal, from March 2000 and Member of its Compensation Committee.
Additionally, Mr. Malloy served as a Director at eVoice, MongoMusic,
Bitfone, and Confinity Inc. from June 1999 until March 2000. He holds a
J.D. from George Mason School of Law in 1984 and a Bachelor of Arts
from Boston College.
