Who is John S. Tanner?
John Sears Tanner is the currently a counselor in the General Sunday School Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a position he received in April 2014. Prior to this from 2011-2014 he served as president of the Brazil São Paulo South Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He previously served as the Academic Vice President of Brigham Young University. Tanner is married to Susan W. Tanner, a former general president of the LDS Church's Young Women organization.
