Who is John Weeks?
John Weeks is an economist. He is a Professor Emeritus of the School of Oriental and African Studies of the University of London. His research interests have been and are in theoretical and policy-applied macroeconomics and development and he has published academic papers, books and policy reports in these areas. He is credited with coining the phrase "quantity theory of competition" to reflect a proposition that more competition in various aspects of the markets will create a more efficient economy.
