Who is Jung Seul-Ki?

Jung Seul-Ki is a South Korean swimmer, who specialized in breaststroke events. She won two bronze medals in the 200 m breaststroke and 4×100 m medley relay at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar. She also captured the gold medal in the same event at the 2007 Summer Universiade in Bangkok, Thailand, breaking a games record time of 2:24.67.

Jung qualified for two swimming events at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, by clearing a FINA A-standard entry time of 2:24.67 from the Universiade in Bangkok. On the second night of the Games, Jung challenged seven other swimmers on the fourth heat of the 100 m breaststroke,including two-time Olympians Diana Gomes of Portugal and Inna Kapishina of Belarus. She raced to sixth place and twenty-third overall by 0.36 of a second behind Italy's Roberta Panara in 1:09.26. In the 200 m breaststroke, Jung failed to qualify for the final, as she placed eleventh overall in the semifinal run with a time of 2:26.83.
