Who was Karl Müller?
Karl Wilhelm Walter Müller was a German naval officer and a Schnellboot commander and recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross in World War II. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Müller, as commander of Schnellboot S-52, together with S-65 are credited with the sinking of the British destroyer Eskdale on 14 April 1943.
