Lilja Sigurðardóttir is an Icelandic crime-writer. Her novels take place in Reykjavík city center and usually evolve around a series of murders that eventually turn out to be linked. Personal relationships, alcoholism, faith versus religion and cooking are all key ingredients in her books. The central characters in the crime novels are Magni Thorsson, a writer and love story translator and his former wife Idunn Baldursdottir police detective.
