Who is Lisa M. Buttenheim?
Lisa M. Buttenheim, a national of the United States, is the Special Representative and Head of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus. She was appointed to the post by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on 2 June 2010. She has extensive experience with the United Nations in political affairs and peacekeeping. Buttenheim replaces TayƩ-Brook Zerihoun of Ethiopia, who held the same function from May 2008 to April 2010.
