Who is Matthew Goodwin?
Matthew Goodwin is a British academic. Goodwin is a former Research Fellow at the Institute for Political and Economic Governance at the University of Manchester, and currently an Associate Professor in the School of Politics and International Relations at the University of Nottingham and an Associate Fellow at Chatham House. His research focuses on far-right extremist groups.
From September 2010 Goodwin began lecturing at the University of Nottingham. He is the co-editor of The New Extremism in 21st Century Britain. He is also the author of New British Fascism: Rise of the British National Party and co-author of Revolt on the Right: Explaining Support for the Radical Right in Britain. His research has appeared in the New Statesman, The Guardian, Westminster Hour and Prospect magazine.
