Who was Robert St Leger Fowler?
Captain Robert St Leger Fowler MC was an Irish cricketer, regarded as the best Irish cricketer not to have represented Ireland itself. Fowler was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm off break. He is perhaps best known for his outstanding all round performance as captain of Eton College in the match against Harrow in 1910, with the match commonly referred to as Fowler's match.
