Who is Shehzad Afzal?
Shehzad Afzal is a writer/director/producer and Game Designer born in Dundee, Scotland.
Shehzad Afzal is most notable for producing and directing the 2007 documentary film Bo Kata.
Shehzad Afzal's video game concepts and designs won him a place as a finalist in the Global Digital Cities Game Design Competition both in 2005 and 2007.
Shehzad spent a couple of years during his early childhood life studying at a private grammar school in Lahore, Pakistan. Lahore, the ancestral home of his parents, influenced and forged his artistic mind-set from an early age, which would continue to have an impact on his later life and his artistic endeavours in film, music and art.
Shehzad's filming and directing style influences include John Cassavetes, Sidney Lumet, Jim Jarmusch and Mike Leigh. Shehzad focuses on actor performance and realisation within a neo-noir/social realist/expressionist dimension.
