Who was Thomas Burgoyne?
Thomas Burgoyne was an Australian politician. He was a joiner and builder before entering politics, and served as Town Clerk of Port Augusta from 1875 to 1879. He was a member of the South Australian House of Assembly from 1884 to 1915, representing Newcastle until 1902 and Flinders thereafter. He was Commissioner of Crown Lands and Immigration, Commissioner of Public Works, and Minister of Agriculture and Education for seven days in 1899.
