Who is Tyler Murphy?

Tyler Murphy is the starting quarterback for the Florida Gators football team at the University of Florida. He joined the team in 2010 as a freshman, but he never got to even make a pass as a Florida Gator until the 2013 season. In the Florida Gators game against the Tennessee Volunteers football team, Gator quarterback Jeff Driskel broke his leg in the first quarter. Murphy came in and has since been the Florida Gator's main quarterback, since Driskel's injuries have left him unable to play for the rest of the 2013 season. Before this game, Tyler Murphy was little known. Murphy won the game against Tennessee by a score of 31-17, and the following week he and the Gators beat the Kentucky Wildcats 24-7. The next week, on October 12, the Gators lost 17-6 against the LSU Tigers, and on October 19 the Florida Gators lost 36-17 against the Missouri Tigers, who currently lead the SEC East. Tyler Murphy wears the number 3 on his jersey.
