Who is Victoria Treadell?
Victoria "Vicki" Marguerite Treadell, CMG, CVO, is the current British High Commissioner to New Zealand and Samoa, and the current Governor of the Pitcairn Islands.
She was born in Ipoh, Malaya and to a Cantonese mother and a father of French-Dutch ancestry. Before her posting to New Zealand, she had held postings in Pakistan, India and Malaysia.
She is the first woman who served as British High Commissioner to New Zealand.
She was appointed a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order in 1989 and was made a Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George in 2010.
