Who is Chris McDaniel?
Christopher Brian "Chris" McDaniel is an American attorney, conservative commentator, and Republican politician in the Mississippi Senate representing the 42nd District, which encompasses part of South Mississippi, since 2008.
McDaniel is challenging incumbent Senator Thad Cochran in the 2014 Mississippi Republican Senate primary. In the Republican primary none of the candidates achieved 50% of the votes, forcing a June 24, 2014 run-off election.
