Edgar Masri

Who is Edgar Masri?

Edgar Masri is President and Chief Executive Officer of 3Com. He leads the company's global operations, which include H3C Technologies Ltd. Co. in China, a leader in IP-based enterprise networking.

Prior to rejoining 3Com in August 2006, Masri spent six years at Matrix Partners, a venture capital firm focused on technology investments, and more recently served as Chief Operating Officer at Redline Communications.

During his first tenure at 3Com, Masri led the company's Network Systems Business Unit as Senior Vice President and General Manager. In this position, he had worldwide responsibility for the development, manufacturing and marketing of 3Com's range of industry-leading enterprise and carrier systems products. Previously, Masri managed the Workgroup Systems Business Unit. Under his leadership, the division grew to more than $1 billion in sales and, according to industry research groups, held 35 percent market share. Masri also served as President of 3Com Ventures, the company's investment arm, and held management positions in Product Management, Marketing and Business Development.

Masri holds a Diplome d'Ingenieur from Ecole Centrale de Paris, a master's degree in electrical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and a master's in business administration with distinction (Arjay Miller Scholar) from Stanford University.
