Who is Gene Gammage?

Eugene Seldon "Gene" Gammage is an American jazz drummer.

Gammage began his professional career as a drummer in 1952 after serving in the Air Force. In 1953 he found a steady gig with Teddy Charles in Los Angeles. Following this he played with Hampton Hawes, André Previn, Barney Kessel, Oscar Peterson, Max Roach, Kenny Clarke, Philly Joe Jones, Art Blakey, Elvin Jones, Scott LaFaro, Herb Geller, Jack Sheldon, Pat Moran, and Ray Brown.
