Who was George Adomian?
George Adomian was the Armenian-American mathematician who developed the Adomian decomposition method for solving nonlinear differential equations, both ordinary and partial. The method is explained, among other places, in his book "Solving Frontier Problems in Physics: The Decomposition Method". He was a faculty member at the University of Georgia from 1966 through 1989. While at UGA, he started the Center for Applied Mathematics. Adomian was also an aerospace engineer.
