Who is Gerald Finn?

Gerald C. Finn is NAI's Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Founder. He personally conceived NAI and has guided its growth into real estate's largest international network of independent brokerages and most comprehensive system of corporate real estate services. Under Mr. Finn's guidance, NAI has pioneered the concept of a corporate services system dedicated to providing clients with a single source of contact to carry out real estate assignments in multiple markets. Mr. Finn has been the driving force in NAI's ability to make the organization a leading provider of real estate services for numerous Fortune 500 firms. He has also directed the selection and growth of NAI's brokerage operation into what is now an international network comprised of more than 160 members serving over 340 markets in the United States, Canada, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Asia Pacific. Mr. Finn has more than 45 years of experience in real estate. He entered the building industry in the mid-1950's and became one of New Jersey's leading scattered lot home builders by the early 1960's. In that period, he also established a commercial construction company active throughout the State of New Jersey building industrial plants, shopping facilities, institutional building and multi-family housing. As a developer, Mr. Finn developed several thousand homes and achieved national recognition as a forerunner in the Planned Unit Development concept--two development companies he established were ultimately acquired by New York Stock Exchange-listed companies. His brokerage background includes work with corporate real estate departments as a consultant and broker of numerous national transactions. It was as a result of his work with corporations and his involvement in the International Association of Corporate Real Estate Executives that, in 1978, he recognized the need for a national real estate service system and developed the concept of NAI. Mr. Finn is a nationally recognized real estate expert and has been a guest lecturer at numerous graduate schools and universities including Princeton, Rutgers, Penn State, Rice, the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Houston.
