Who is Géraldine Chauvet?
Géraldine Chauvet is a French operatic mezzo-soprano, who has sung leading roles in Italy, Germany and Spain including the title role in Carmen at the Arena di Verona in 2009. She was born in Bayeux and studied music at the University of Tours, initially specialising in flute and piano. She studied singing with Udo Reinmann and later with Grace Bumbry in Salzburg.
