Who was Gudolf Blakstad?
Gudolf Blakstad was a Norwegian architect.
Born in Gjerpen, Blakstad was educated at the Norwegian Institute of Technology, worked with Arnstein Arneberg and Herman Munthe-Kaas. He was noted for his work in the transition between neo-classicism and functionalism in Norwegian architecture.
With Herman Munthe-Kaas he drew the Odd Fellow building, Kunstnernes Hus and Bodø Cathedral; he also drew Det Nye Teater with Jens Gram Dunker.
He died in Oslo.
