Who was Guillaume Vandive?
Guillaume Vandive, Printer and ordinary bookseller of Monseigneur the Dauphin. Guillaume Vandive, was born about 1680, was baptized in Paris Church of St. Bartholomew's under his original name Vandivout, and died in 1706 after eleven months of marriage.
He was the oldest son of the famous Parisian goldsmith of origin of Brussels Philippe Van Dievoet dit Vandive, adviser of the king, goldsmith of the King and the Dolphin, and the nephew of the famous sculptor of Brussels Peter Van Dievoet.
