Who is Guillermo Boffiy?
Master of the works at Gerona Cathedral in Spain, he designed the single nave spanning almost 22m in 1416. The span is so wide that the Bishop called in other architects to assess the project before construction began. It is the widest spanning gothic pointed vault in Europe.
