Who is Gus Reyes?

Gus Reyes is a Mexican musician and composer primarily focused on film scores. Reyes began his studies in music at the age of 8. His father, Jesus Gustavo Ramírez Avila, student of the great guitar players Manuel López Ramos and Andrés Segovia, was his first teacher in music. He studied in many important music institutions ending with his application to the "Cardenal Miranda Institute", where Reyes spent most of his youth studying music. Great Mexican teachers had been part of his education, like Xavier Gonzalez Texcucano, Luis Armando Elias Chain, Philippe H. Tolon, Juan Trigos, Jorge Torres Sáenz, Jaime Uribe, Eduardo Gamboa among others. Reyes studied majors in Composition, Orchestral and Choral Conduction and Musicology.
