Who was Hermann Haupt?
Hermann Haupt was a German entomologist who worked mainly on Homoptera and Hymenoptera.
He was an intermediate school teacher. He described many new species. Haupt’s Hymenoptera and Homoptera collections are conserved in the University of Halle-Wittenberg and Biozentum, Staatliches Museum für Tierkunde Dresden and Naturkundemuseum Erfurt.
