Who is Jehangir Khan Tareen?

Jahangir Khan Tareen is a prominent Pakistani politician, industrialist, he has been appointed as the Secretary General of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and has been a former parliamentarian who served as the Minister of Industries, Production and Special Initiatives between August 2004 and November 2007 of the Pakistan Muslim League government. He was PTI's candidate for National Assembly from Constituency NA-154 for 2013 elections but lost.

An entrepreneur by profession, Jahangir Khan Tareen received his B.A degree from FC College University, Lahore in 1971 and M.B.A degree from University of North Carolina, U.S.A in 1974. He also served as the advisor to the Chief Minister Punjab for Agriculture and New Initiatives in Social Sector. He has served as a lecturer, as a banker and as an entrepreneur during his career and has chaired Punjab Task Force on Agriculture from 1997-1999 and Punjab Task Force on Wheat Procurement and Marketing during 2001-2002.
