Jean-Pierre Thystère Tchicaya was a Congolese politician. He was briefly acting head of state of the Republic of the Congo in February 1979 and was president of the National Assembly of the Republic of the Congo from 2002 to 2007. He also led a political party, the Rally for Democracy and Social Progress, from 1990 to 2008.
