Who is Jehangir Wadia?
Jehangir Wadia, also known as Jeh Wadia, is an Indian business magnate belonging to the Wadia family. He is the son of textile and real estate tycoon Nusli Wadia and Maureen Wadia. He is the great-grandson of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, founding father of Pakistan and younger brother of Ness Wadia, owner of IPL team Kings XI Punjab. The World Economic Forum elected him as a Young Global leader in the year 2008.
Jeh Wadia is the managing director of GoAir, a budget airline which he founded in 2004, and of Bombay Dyeing, a diversified company with interests in Retail, Real Estate, Textiles and PSF.
GoAir and Bombay Dyeing are a part of the brittania biscuits to real estate conglomerate The Wadia Group comprising Bombay Dyeing, Britannia Industries, GoAir, Bombay Burmah, National Peroxide, Wadia Engineering, etc companies. GoAir is among the only 2 profitable airlines of all the domestic airlines operating in India; Jeh Wadia is credited with the highly efficient profitable operations of the airline as well as the launch of Bombay Realty and Bombay Dyeing's retail Initiatives.
