Who is Jen Hadfield?

Jen Hadfield is an English poet.

She won the 2008 T.S. Eliot Prize for poetry for her second collection, Nigh-No-Place. This was a notable honour for a relative newcomer, as the award's previous recipients include such major poets as Carol Ann Duffy, Seamus Heaney, and Ted Hughes.

Hadfield also won an Eric Gregory Award in 2003.

Hadfield currently resides in Shetland, off the north of mainland Scotland. She publishes a line of artbooks, using linocut, photography, woodwork, bookbinding and fly-tying, which she calls "Rogue Seeds".

Her third poetry collection, Byssus, is due to be published early 2014.
