Who was Jerome Gratian?
Jerónimo Gracián or Jerome Gratian was a Spanish Carmelite and writer. He was the spiritual director of St Teresa of Ávila, who took a vow of obedience to him. He was the first Provincial of the Discalced Carmelites.
