Who is Jim Storm?
Jim Storm is an American actor who is best known for his role as Gerard Stiles in Dark Shadows.
Storm's first TV appearance was as the second Dr. Larry Wolek on One Life to Live, a role he played from 1968 to 1969. His brother, Michael Storm, followed him in the role. In the storyline, Jim's Larry Wolek was badly burned in a fire and underwent plastic surgery, and Michael's Larry Wolek was revealed when the bandages were removed. This new plot device would prove so successful that many other shows, including Dynasty, would use it when recasting key characters.
Storm next portrayed Gerard Stiles on Dark Shadows from 1970 to 1971, reprising the role in 1971's Night of Dark Shadows.
More recently, he played the contract roles of Neil Fenmore on the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless and Bill Spencer, Sr. on The Bold and the Beautiful from 1987 through 1994, returning briefly in 1997, 2000, 2003, and 2009.
In 2010, it was announced that he was returning to the world of Dark Shadows, appearing in the audio mini-series Kingdom of the Dead.
He is the elder cousin of playwright John Steppling and is credited for introducing him to theatre. Storm later appeared in many of Steppling's plays including Teenage Wedding, Dogmouth, and most recently Phantom Luck.
