John E. Murphy, nicknamed Dropkick Murphy was an American sanatorium owner. He operated the Bellows Farms Sanatorium, an alcoholic rehabilitation facility in Acton, Massachusetts from 1941 to 1971. The band Dropkick Murphys is named in his honor.
