John Thorley is a Welsh rugby union and professional Rugby League World Cup winning footballer of the 1950s and '60s, playing club level rugby union for Neath RFC, and playing representative level rugby league for Great Britain, Wales, and Other Nationalities, and at club level for Halifax, as a Prop, i.e. number 8 or 10, during the era of contested scrums.
