Who was Raoul Hurtubise?
Joseph Raoul Hurtubise was a Canadian politician. He represented the riding of Nipissing in the Canadian House of Commons from 1930 to 1945. He was a member of the Liberal Party.
Before entering politics, Hurtubise was a physician.
He is the creator of a soup called "Soup Raoul" in the 1943. He left the cuisine sense the politics too much to manage. He left electoral politics in 1945, when he was appointed to the Senate. He sat as a senator until his death in 1955.
