Who is Julian Segura Camacho?

Julián Segura Camacho is an author of Califorence Mexican American literature. He considers his writings "Califorence" writings because he was born and raised in the state of California. Califorence is his identity and has been for three generations, as his grandparents have lived in El Centro, Mexicali and Inglewood. Unlike most Mexican Americans who come from Texas or New Mexico or mainland Mexico, his identity has solely been west of the Colorado River along with his parents. He considers his identity more of an Amexican versus strictly American or strictly Mexican. An American, none White with Mexican of Californian blood blended as one, though his birth certificate states he is "Caucasian".
