Who is Kevin A. Ring?
Kevin A. Ring is an American former Republican congressional staffer for U.S. Representative John T. Doolittle who later became a lobbyist working with Jack Abramoff. Ring was one of two people indicted in the Abramoff lobbying and bribing scandal who went to trial instead of pleading guilty and cooperating with the United States government. After his first trial was hung, he was convicted in a second trial of corruption and honest services wire fraud and sentenced in October 2011 to 20 months in prison. He was released on bail while he appeals his conviction. He also faces trial on charges of obstructing congressional and criminal investigators.
