なお、1955年以来ギネスブックに記載された長寿世界一の人物の中で、最も若く掲載された人物であった。ただし、現在では同時代にジンドルフより4歳年上のメアリー・ケリーの記録が認定されており、ジンドルフは世界一ではなかったことが判明している。
