Martin Bean is Vice-Chancellor of The Open University, the largest university in the United Kingdom. He was appointed to the post in December 2008 and took up office on 1 October 2009. On 10 July 2014 he was appointed Vice-Chancellor and President of RMIT University, and will take up the appointment in February 2015.
